Study Paves Ways!!!

Mummy said I must read
Daddy said make me proud,
The books makes me try to take heed
But it's not really easy so sometimes I cry aloud


Just why do they want me reading?
Does everything rest on the pen?
What if the book doesn't pay?
What if it's not what I want?


So I sat and thought ,
What Joy will I derive from being an illiterate?
How far will I go if I don't get to study?
All doesn't rest on study but study paves way
So i thought.
Would I study just to make Dad proud?
What if I take a step further and make the world proud,
Wouldn't it make me proud too?

So now I'll burn the candles!
I'll earn good grades not just study,
I'll make mum, dad and everyone proud!
So when I get tired i'll rest, Not rest forever but
Rest to rise again!
So when I fall I'll rise again!
I won't let my failure bother me as long as it leads to success!
