When Life Was Easy, A Peom Akinbode Seyi

We once lived in a time,

Where we weren't conscious of our problems, 

When all we bothered on, 

Was what to eat and wear then.

Remember when we had nothing to worry about?

No struggles, no stress, no pain

Just a happy soul, a sound mind, 

And a lot of happiness on our little faces,

When life wasn't challenging, 

When we had no issues with anyone,

When we were at peace with everyone, 

Those days that sound like the  best of our life, 

You still remember? 

Now things has changed, 

Life has got more real, 

A man for himself,

And it seems all the happy and 

Joyous days of our prime, 

Were nothing but illusions! 

I don't know we got here, 

But how I wish, we were never here, 

Well, that's life

And it feels like our best days are well behind us.
