As the eagerly awaited general elections of 2023 approaches, many Nigerians have continued to show their willingness to exercise their right to vote by supporting the candidates of their choice.
Nigerians who, up until now, had not registered to vote or who had only recently turned 18 have taken advantage of the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) opportunity to register for Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
However, a lot of people who had previously registered but had changed addresses are unsure about what to do.
This is mainly because many of them assume there is a complicated process involved in moving their registrations, or because they don't have enough information about how to accomplish so.
The only thing you need to watch out for is not engaging in multiple registrations, which is illegal. In its continuing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) across the nation, the electoral commission weeded out instances of multiple registrations, as was recently disclosed.

Visit the INEC registration portal
Visit the INEC registration portal on cvr.inecnigeria.org and go to Services, then click on Voter Transfer.
Create account
The next step is to create an account using your email address. You need to be sure that the email is active and that you can access it easily.
Login
After creating an account, you will need to log in with your email address and open the link sent to you in your email.
Filling form
You then have to fill out the form provided and your new address. Ensure to go through your application to avoid errors before you save.
Uploading photos
Having completed the filling of the form, use your mobile phone to take snapshots and upload two of your photos (one with a serious face and the other with a smiling face).
Submitting application
If the photos are approved, the final step is to submit the form and wait for INEC to notify you via email and phone of your PVC pickup location, which will definitely be around your new location. This is done after the commission must have produced the cards.
