We Have Covered Over 72,000 vulnerables Citizens, 90,000 Former And 20,000 Informer Sector  - OHIS

Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS) visit Osun West senatorial district today in the second phase of her state-wide sensitization program. The program was held at the Reality Radio-Vision Main Hall in Iwo.

The program is aimed at sensitizing citizens on what OHIS is all about, the key benefit of enrolling in the program, and so on.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr. Adeniyi Samuel Oginni, who was ably represented by the Director of Programme, Pharm Sunmonu Olasunkanmi said that the scheme is very important for everybody living in Osun state to enroll in the program because the agency was established to create qualitative access to a health care facility for every individual in the state without financial stress..

He noted that the program has been so fantastic and the feedback so far is encouraging, adding that over 225,000 residents of the state have been enrolled under the Osun Health Insurance Scheme.

"We have covered over 72,000 vulnerable residents of the state, about 90,000 people have been captured in the formal sector and 20,000 people in the informal sector".

The program covers all known sicknesses except for some kind of excessive money gulping illnesses like cancer, the psychiatric illness that is out of the scope of the scheme"

"Consider what you'll spend on health as a family against what you'll get when you subscribe and get more. In terms of health, the quality of our accredited hospitals cannot be overstated"

"Kudos to the Osun State Government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for taking the health of his citizens as a priority by providing a favorable environment for the scheme to strive for the benefit of the residents" He added.

Prince Olusola Ajiboye, the CEO of Pace Communications in his own address commends Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his doggedness in ensuring that every citizen of Osun have access to qualitative health care services.

He then charged all residents of the state to register with Osun Health Insurance scheme so that all members of their family can enjoy good health care with a meager amount of money.
