The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) on Friday announced the six-player shortlist for its prestigious Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year awards.
In the men’s category, Arsenal trio Gabriel Magalhaes, David Raya, and Declan Rice earned nominations after playing key roles in the club’s Premier League title-winning campaign.
The shortlist also features Manchester City stars Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland, alongside Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
For the women’s award, reigning winner Bunny Shaw has once again been nominated as she seeks to retain the honour she claimed in the 2023/24 season.
Chelsea forward Lauren James and Arsenal striker Alessia Russo are also among the contenders for the top individual prize.
The women’s shortlist is completed by Manchester City midfielder Yui Hasegawa, Aston Villa attacker Kirsty Hanson, and Manchester United’s Jess Park.
