Police preliminary findings indicated that the four suspects allegedly worked together in carrying out the robbery operation.

Further investigation by security operatives also uncovered the alleged involvement of another suspect identified only as Sumo. He is believed to be the leader of the criminal gang and is currently on the run.

Ejire-Adeyemi stated that security agencies have stepped up tactical operations and intelligence-gathering efforts aimed at tracking down the fleeing suspect and recovering any weapons believed to be in his possession.

Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, praised officers involved in the operation as well as personnel of the National Forest Security Service for their prompt response and effective collaboration, which contributed to the success of the mission.
