Ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, the Ede Federal Constituency chapter of the Imole Youth Mobilization Campaign Committee has been officially inaugurated, with members charged to intensify grassroots mobilization in support of Governor Ademola Adeleke's re-election bid.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Country Home in Ede, brought together party faithful, youth leaders, and supporters who pledged their commitment to ensuring a successful outing for the Accord Part at the forthcoming poll.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Imole Youth Campaign Council Committee, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, was represented by Hon. Kayode Isaac. He urged members of the committee to embark on extensive voter mobilization by highlighting the achievements of Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke's administration across Osun State.
He encouraged party supporters to remain steadfast and resist what he described as intimidation from opposition elements.
"They don't want us to come out and vote on election day, but we are determined to troop out, cast our votes, and emerge victorious. We will not allow fear to take over. We will not fight anyone, but we will remain vigilant and ensure every legitimate vote counts," he said.
Also addressing the gathering, the Director of Public Communications of the Imole Youth Mobilization Campaign Committee, Hon. Oluwaseyi Olaitan, charged the newly inaugurated committee members to redouble their efforts in mobilizing voters across the constituency.
He stressed the importance of securing what he described as a convincing electoral victory for Governor Adeleke, urging members to work tirelessly toward achieving a wide margin in the election.
According to him, effective grassroots engagement and sustained voter education would be critical to the success of the campaign.
The event climaxed with members of the Ede Federal Constituency Imole Youth Mobilization Campaign Committee taking a collective oath of allegiance, pledging to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the objectives of the campaign ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
