Osimhen in Al Hilal’s Sights as Saudi Club Seek Benzema Successor

Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal have joined the growing list of clubs interested in Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as they look to part ways with former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema before the close of the current summer transfer window.

Osimhen has continued to deliver impressive performances since joining Galatasaray, scoring 59 goals and registering 16 assists in 74 appearances across all competitions.

The Nigerian striker’s outstanding form has once again fuelled uncertainty over his long-term future at Rams Park, with several clubs in Europe and other parts of the world reportedly monitoring his situation.

According to Sky Sport Switzerland, Al Hilal are keeping a close watch on the Nigerian international and are preparing to make an approach for his signature.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray are reportedly open to allowing Osimhen to leave and have placed a valuation of around €65 million on the prolific forward.

The Saudi Pro League giants regard Osimhen as a suitable replacement for Benzema as they look to free up space within their squad and accommodate the Nigerian striker.

However, any move to Al Hilal will ultimately depend on Osimhen’s decision, as the Saudi club would first have to convince the Super Eagles forward to relocate to Saudi Arabia.

With the new season drawing closer, Osimhen is expected to be keen on resolving the uncertainty surrounding his future so that he can focus fully on maintaining the exceptional level of performance he has produced in recent times.
