Guti Reveals Three Players He Sees in the 2026 Ballon d’Or Race

 Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti has identified England captain Harry Kane, France international Kylian Mbappe and Spain midfielder Rodri as his three leading contenders for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

The former Spanish international also made his personal preference clear, admitting that he would particularly like Mbappe to claim the prestigious individual award because of his current affiliation with Real Madrid.

Speaking about the race, Guti said, as quoted by El Partidazo de COPE: “It’s going to be between Harry Kane, Mbappé and Rodri.

“I want Mbappe to win the Ballon d’Or because he plays for Real Madrid.”

The 2026 Ballon d’Or winner is scheduled to be announced next month during the awards ceremony at the London Palladium Theatre in London.

A total of 30 players have already been shortlisted for the prestigious award, with Kane, Mbappe and Rodri all included among the nominees.
