Mohamed Salah, a winger for Liverpool, has acknowledged that he has not connected with new signing Hugo Ekitike on the field.
In attack, Salah currently plays with two recent additions, Florian Wirtz and Ekitike.
Alexander Isak's deadline-day move has also been finalized by the Reds.
They have replaced Diogo Jota, who tragically lost his life in a car accident, and Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, who departed in the window.
Liverpool has won three straight games to start the defense of their Premier League title. However, the performances have not been convincing generally.
Salah has only scored one goal and provided one assist in the 2025–2026 season thus far.
He told the Men In Blazers podcast, “So far I haven't figured the connections out yet."
“Like with Darwin or Lucho or the guys they used to play in front, or Diogo.
“I knew where to start with Diogo or Darwin. I know where to find them. I knew their game very well, but with Hugo, he’s still new.”
