As the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) set for this year's Digital Media Week, the Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Mutiu Agboke will lead the talk on the digital electoral process towards credible elections in Nigeria .

The three-day Digital Media program scheduled to hold, 4th December, 2025, at the Ben Bar Event Hall, beside Regina Suite, Malam Tope Area, Ring Road, Osogbo will host lots of activities.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Adesoji Omosebi, the three-day programme will feature Corporate Social Responsibility engagements, professional refresher courses, and a public lecture with the theme:

“Harnessing Technology and Artificial Intelligence towards Credible Elections and Information Dissemination in Nigeria.”

According to the committee, the event is designed to deepen conversations around the intersection of digital technology, artificial intelligence, and electoral integrity in Nigeria.

The Guest Speaker, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, the Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner, is expected to lead an in-depth discussion on how emerging technologies can strengthen Nigeria’s electoral system, enhance media professionalism, and drive digital innovation.

The Digital Media Week will also celebrate the efforts of online publishers and digital media practitioners across Osun State, recognizing their role in advancing credible journalism and promoting transparency in the digital era.

His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Hameed Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, the Olowu of Kuta (CON), has been designated as the Father of the Day, while Mrs. Funmi Abokede, General Manager, Osun CSDA, will serve as Mother of the Day—both lending their distinguished presence to the event.

OOPA, a respected network of professional online publishers and journalists in Osun State, continues to provide a platform for collaboration, capacity building, and advocacy, driving critical conversations on technology, responsible information dissemination, and the evolving impact of digital media on Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
