Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has announced the removal of
the chairman of the state’s Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM),
Gabriel Falayi, and the chairman of the Governing Council College of
Education, Ikere-Ekiti, Professor Babajide Alo.
A government statement on Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Modupe Alade, said the sack takes immediate effect while they had also been immediately replaced by some other appointees.
The statement said: “Chief Femi Ogundipe has been appointed as the Chairman of TESCOM; Mrs Adeola Yesufu as Chairman, Governing Council of the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti and Mrs. Folasade Akinrinmola as Full-Time member of the state’s Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

The statement said: “Chief Femi Ogundipe has been appointed as the Chairman of TESCOM; Mrs Adeola Yesufu as Chairman, Governing Council of the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti and Mrs. Folasade Akinrinmola as Full-Time member of the state’s Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
The statement added that “The decision was as a result of the need to
reorganise government parastatals for effective service delivery.”
