Ashlee Glam is a Ghanaian born and raised in Switzerland and whose real name is Ashley Ackun. This song entitled "Me Nyame" represents a reconnection to her African heritage; exploring the beauty of her mother tongue and country.

"Me Nyame" means "My Lord" in Twi, the Akan language dialect that is spoken in Ghana.

This single speaks of her days as a teenager and how, as a result of circumstances not under her control, her life then reflected feelings of isolation and sadness.

Though her mind was filled with dark thoughts, the day she experienced Christ's love, she was set free and freed fully.
