ASUU Members In Taraba |
Members of the Taraba State University chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities have called on God to take care of the ongoing strike at universities across the nation.
For God's help, the ASUU members who held prayers for the strike that has been on since March, for low remuneration, among other issues, prayed.
Mbave Joshua, former Vice Chairman of the Taraba University Union, told Channels Television;
At this point, we have no choice but to look to God for intervention, because we have exhausted all other means of resolving the problems.
In addition to the national IPPIS strike action and other issues, we have significant internal issues with the university's management and funding.
"Our representatives went for two months without salary and without any explanation from the Taraba government and the university administration for such behavior."
Mbave added that the union is praying for God to touch the hearts of individuals and groups responsible for the non-resolution of issues concerning ASUU.
