Yahaya Bello, the Kogi State Governor, described the tax levied on bread in the state as bad.

Bello has threatened to discipline those in charge of the action.

Following a Tuesday meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, the governor spoke while addressing State House correspondents in Abuja.

He said The unique bread tax incident is being investigated as I speak, we are investigating those behind it."

"It is bad and to say the least, it is unaccepted. I ordered the Head of Service to issue questions to those responsible for them and they will face the law accordingly.
