David Ogwo Orji and Chimaobi Anyim Kalu, two thieves who killed Chimhurumnaya Udeh, a 21-year-old nursing mother, before robbing her of her infant, have been detained by the Abia State Police command.
After killing the woman, the suspects reportedly sold her infant for N150,00
The two admitted to killing the deceased, stating they merely gave her eight pieces of piriton to put her to sleep before stabbing her to death, according to ABN TV.

On April 15, 2022, the suspects who also abducted the victim's 11-month-old child killed her in a room at Merry Home Hotels Ogbor Hill Aba.
One of the suspects, David Ogwo Orji, 21, a resident of Ugwueke in Bende local government area of Abia State, confessed that the deceased was his girlfriend during the parade at police headquarters in Umuahia.
He and his accomplice Chimaobi Anyim Kalu had lured her into the hotel where they had made preparations to kill her and sell her child for N150,000.

He claimed that a man named Chukwuemeka James, who is currently missing, had helped them find a buyer willing to pay N150,000.
When denying that he intended to kill the woman before kidnapping her child to sell off, he claimed that Chimaobi Anyim Kalu was the one who made the death threat inside the hotel room if he didn't knife the dead woman to death while she was sound sleeping.
When he refused, Chimaobi assisted him in stabbing the victim with the bottom of a shattered glass cup, causing her to pass away instantaneously. David then fled with the 11-month-old infant to meet a bidder who was already waiting.

A payment of N150,000 was made thereafter.
