Davido Takes Centre Stage in FIFA’s Three-Nation World Cup Celebration

Global anticipation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues to gather momentum as FIFA has unveiled a major entertainment programme for its countdown concert series, with Nigerian music sensation Davido confirmed as one of the headline performers for a marquee event in Los Angeles.

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced on Tuesday that Nigerian award-winning artiste David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is scheduled to perform at the Los Angeles leg of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert series on Wednesday, June 10.

According to a statement issued by FIFA, the Los Angeles concert will also feature Major Lazer, the globally renowned music project led by Diplo, while additional performers are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The concert forms part of a groundbreaking series of synchronised live performances that will be staged simultaneously across the three host nations of the 2026 FIFA World Cup — Canada, Mexico and the United States — as excitement builds ahead of the tournament.

The Los Angeles edition of the event will take place at the Crypto.com Arena. Gates are expected to open at 5:00 p.m. PT, while the live broadcast is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. PT.

In addition to the performances in Los Angeles, live shows from Mexico City and Toronto will be streamed in real time, linking fans across the three host countries in a shared celebration of football, music and cultural diversity.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Tournament Officer for the USA, Manolo Zubiria, described the concert series as a celebration of the passion, unity, and cultural bonds that define the World Cup experience.

He noted that with the opening match just two days away, Los Angeles one of the world's foremost entertainment capitals would serve as the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night of music, football, and global celebration.

Tickets for the event will become available from Wednesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. PST. FIFA also disclosed that the concert will be broadcast worldwide through its digital platforms, while an exclusive livestream will be available on the FIFA World Cup social media page.

Fans who are unable to watch the event live will have another opportunity to relive the experience, as full concert recordings and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage will be released the following day through FIFA’s video-on-demand service, VuMe Live.
